Missy barely appeared inThe Big Bang Theory, which means that what’s revealed about her future is limited. This makes her the perfect character to focus on afterYoung Sheldon. Unfortunately, however, instead of doing that, Chuck Lorre and his team opted against making her a central character for their sequel to the acclaimed family comedy/drama. Instead,Young Sheldonwill be followed byGeorgie & Mandy’s First Marriage,which will tackle the headlining couple’s life as newlyweds. Like the rest of the remainder Coopers in Texas, Missy won’t be a series regular in the spinoff.
That said, she is expected to make an appearance as a guest star. SinceGeorgie & Mandy’s First Marriagewill pick upa couple of months after the end ofYoung Sheldon, and will still be set in Medford, a cameo from the Coopers is somewhat imperative. Otherwise, their absence would raise questions about the status of Georgie’s relationship with his family.
