xQc is hitting back at Fresh & Fit podcast host Myron Gaines after he called Pokimane fans “simps” when she announced her departure from Twitch.

In late January 2024, famousTwitchstreamer Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys announced that she was leaving Twitch after ten yearsof broadcasting on the platform.

This move came as a massive shock to fans, given Poki’s past comments on remaining loyal to Twitch over competitor sites likeYouTubeandKickdue to heraffinity for Twitch’s chat culture.

Pokimane cited a plethora of issues with Twitch as reasons for leaving the platform, calling the company “messy” and saying she’d actually made the decision to step away months prior.

Now, it looks like Pokimane is streaming wherever she pleases, going live in herfirst-ever YouTube broadcaston February 1 — and although her departure from Twitch has sparked quite the conversation, it also incited some negativity toward the internet star.

Myron Gaines, co-host of the Fresh & Fit podcast, lashed out at Pokimane and her “simp” viewers in ascathing tweetshortly after the news broke.

“Men are waking up and starting to stop simping for a useless Twitch 304,” he wrote. “Good work bros! The tide is finally starting to turn.”

The Fresh & Fit podcast has become a controversial topic on social media over the past year due to the hosts’divisive views on women and masculinity,as evidenced by Gaines’ post.

However, fellow streaming icon xQc didn’t seem to be a big fan of Gaines’ tweet and clapped back at the podcast host in abiting reply.

Thus far, it doesn’t look like Gaines has responded to xQc’s barb — but Pokimane did cite some issues with the rise in “manosphere, red pill bullsh*t” on Twitch as part of her reasons for leaving the platform.

“I feel like that stuff has flourished within the male-dominated live streaming sphere of things,” she admitted in anepisode of her podcast.“It was just really disappointing to see this community and this industry that I have so much love for relish, almost, in this sh*t.”
