Despite this clear focus, Violet evolved this season beyond her normal role as the voice of reason to the Bridgerton family.

Despite Lady Danbury’s clear distaste, sparks seem to fly between the two, though their romance seems to only just be beginning. This romance added some dramatically ironic humor to the first half of this season due to Lady Danbury’s strong discomfort clashing with her own romantic history inQueen Charlotte.

Despite its fleeting nature, Lady Danbury never told Violet, though it is clear inQueen Charlottethat she suspects their relationship was more than platonic. Through the newBridgertonromance, the two families can further complicate their links to each other, as well as add some more comedic moments to season 3, part 2.
Lady Danbury clearly disapproves of her brother pursuing her friend. However, considering her relationship with Violet’s father, the flip adds some ironic humor to season 3. This humor could add a new element to these two characters as they begin to mirror their younger counterparts' dramatic tendencies.The choice to continue or stop their relationship from blooming contains perfect comedic potentialand could show these poised ladies in a new light. Not only that, but the series could force the two friends to finally face the past, letting their relationship grow and even updating one aspect of theBridgertonbooks.

While Violet does not remarry in theBridgertonbooks, the series could shift her story, giving her more to do beyond assisting her children. Violet is ineveryBridgertonbook, but her role is similar to the series: helping her children discover they are in love and aiding them in achieving happily ever after when needed.She never remarries, as losing her husband Edmund is a large part of her drive to help her children find love,leaving her own pursuits behind.
