Today’s Connections Category Hints
JUNE 11 #365
Today has some interesting categories that make use of sound in different ways. Here are the categories for today’s puzzle if you just need a hint to complete the challenge:
Today’s Connections Answers
With so many different two-letter words in today’sConnections, there was a lot to work with, and making sure we scored the correct ones was a bit of a struggle. If you had trouble like we did though, just check out the fully spoiled answers below and score yourself an easy win.
BY
BYE
Four words that all look and sound very similar? There was something suspicious there. However, the BI in particular looked like it could belong to three other categories, so it had us second-guessing our initial conclusion. It’s good that we decided to check it anyway, so we could get the category correct!
QUAD
TRI
We may not know much about working out, but we do know enough about human anatomy to recognize this bunch. It was here that BI stood out as a possible answer that seemed like it should fit. But a little experimentation led to recognizing that biceps just are not important in this category today.
8 Vertex Strategies To Quickly Solve The Picture
The New York Times Vertex game asks you to form a picture by connecting dots, but you have to understand the image to solve this puzzle quickly.
POP
TRAP
This one was the first category we solved today, as the differences were clear enough to know that BI did not belong here. Seeing EMO and POP made the category a little clearer and with DUB also an option it felt pretty clear. The only word left that could be a music genre was TRAP, so it became our first successful guess of the day.
MED
OFF
This category felt a little odd when looking at it on the screen, and the HI and LO both felt like small two-letter words that might belong with BI in other contexts. However, seeing the MED and realizing it was not an abbreviation for medical or medicine made it easier to determine that these all had to do with settings. OFF was, admittedly, the only word left at that point.
