The Witcher Season 4 Is Adapting The Rats’ Attack On The Baron Of Casadei’s Daughter
Ciri Will Be Part Of The Rats In The Witcher Season 4
Ciri is standing in front of a woman dressed in noble clothes, hinting at the scene from the books where Ciri and the Rats attack the carriage of the Baron of Casadei.
Various set photos have been leaked since production ofThe Witcherseason 4 began, and some of them show Ciri in her new costume, also hinting at one important scene from the books. These photos (viaRedanian Intelligence)show Ciri in a completely new outfitthat matches those of her fellow Rats, but most important is the scene’s context. Ciri is standing in front of a woman dressed in noble clothes, pointing to season 4 bringing to life the scene from the books where Ciri and the Rats attack the carriage of the Baron of Casadei.

The Baron’s daughter was in the carriage and she was robbed by the Rats, with Ciri taking a brooch she was wearing. The Baron’s daughter was so traumatized by this incident thatthe Baron took drastic measures: he hired ruthless bounty hunter Leo Bonhart to capture Ciri(then known as “Falka”) and bring her to him. What the Baron didn’t know was thatBonhart had already been hired by Stefan Skellen, who ordered him to kill the Cintran Princess.
The photos imply that Ciri will either physically attack the Baron’s daughter and hurt her or will go as far as to kill her.

However, the set photos might be teasing a violent turn to this scene. In the book, Ciri takes the brooch but doesn’t kill the Baron’s daughter, but the set photos show Ciri holding a dagger and later the Baron’s daughter lying on the floor, implying that Ciri will either physically attack the Baron’s daughter and hurt her or will go as far as to kill her, which would give the Baron even bigger reasons to send Bonhart after her.
Ciri Is About To Meet One Of The Witcher’s Biggest Villains
The Witcher Season 4 Is Introducing A Major Villain
Bonhart is known for his cruel and violent ways, so much so that he found pleasure in witnessing brutal events and inflicting pain on others.
The Witcherhas had a villain problemso far, with Cahir changing sides in season 2, the Deathless Mother joining the Wild Hunt, Rience being killed by Geralt, and Vilgefortz being hiding and posing as a good guy since season 1, though his true colors began to shine through during the battle of Sodden Hill. Meanwhile, the White Flame hasn’t been seen enough to make him the menacing villain he’s supposed to be.Season 4 is introducing Leo Bonhart, meaningThe Witcherwill finally have the villain it needed, and he plays an important role in Ciri’s story.

Bonhart is known for his cruel and violent ways, so much so that he found pleasure in witnessing brutal events and inflicting pain on others. Bonhart carried three witcher medallions from the School of the Wolf, the School of the Cat, and the School of the Griffin, as he claimed to have killed the witchers who wore them.Along with Skellen, Bonhart will be key in Ciri’s developmentin seasons 4 and 5.
It should come as a relief for fans ofThe Witcherbooks to see that season 4 is being a lot more loyal to the books than some of the previous seasons. The attack on the Baron’s daughter will make Bonhart and Skellen’s introduction a lot smoother, and will kick off huge problems for Ciri in seasons 4 and 5 ofThe Witcher.
