Both are intelligence officers at MI6, but only Kathryn is under suspicion for betraying the agency by leaking sensitive intel.
There are four other suspects, all of whom are coupled up with other MI6 operatives. But George just can’t shake the feeling that his wife is the one with something to hide. Love Hurts (2025)
On the outside, Marvin Gable (Ke Huy Quan) looks like a meek real estate agent, because that’s exactly the image he’s trying to portray inLove Hurts. Prior to settling into his current life, Marvin was an assassin who worked for his brother, Alvin “Knuckles” Gable (Daniel Wu). But Marvin left that life behind when he fell for oneofhis targets, Rose Carlisle (Ariana DeBose), and let her get away.
That decision may come back to bite Marvin, as Alvin has sent another assassin called The Raven (Mustafa Shakir) to attack him and get Rose’s location. That attracts the attention of Rose herself, and Marvin’s reunion with her is probably not going to go as smoothly as he hoped. The title of the movie may beLove Hurts, but it may have undersold just how much physical pain Marvin is going to suffer in this action comedy.

Last Breath (2025)
Last Breathis based on a true story about an incident that happened in 2012. Woody Harrelson, Simu Liu, and Finn Cole lead the film as a team of saturation divers who maintain undersea gas pipes. It’s dangerous work, and on this rotation, Duncan Allcock (Harrelson) stays behind to monitor David Yuasa (Liu) and Chris Lemons (Cole) while they work. That’s not an unusual arrangement, but things take a turn towards disaster when Lemons is trapped underwater with a minimal air supply.
Lemons’ life can be counted in minutes as Yuasa, Allock, and Captain Andre Jenson (Cliff Curtis) scramble to save him before his air runs out. But even with the resources at hand, finding and retrieving Lemons in time may take nothing short of a miracle.

Life of Pi (2012)
Within the filmLife of Piand Yann Martel’s original novel, there is a version of the story without a tiger. But you’ll probably prefer the version that includes Richard Parker, the unusually named Bengal tiger who was magnificently brought to life in this film through a combination of CGI and practical effects. The tiger is the reluctant companion of Pi (Suraj Sharma) following a deadly shipwreck at sea that claimed the lives of Pi’s family and most of the animals in their zoo during a voyage to Canada.
Pi knows firsthand that Richard Parker is a killer and will turn on him if he’s compelled by hunger or fear. Surviving while stranded on the ocean was already hard, and now Pi has to keep himself and the tiger alive while also keeping Richard Parker at bay. It’s a fantastic story that has a spiritual element as well as some gorgeous CGI.

Wicked (2024)
One of the most-popular Broadway musicals was also one of 2024’s top hits.Wickedis technically the prequel toThe Wizard of Oz, but it doesn’t lineup completely with the novel or the famous feature film. One of the reasons why is that it focuses on the Wicked Witch of the West, Elphaba Thropp (Cynthia Erivo), years before she met her fate at the hands of Dorothy Gale.
Galinda Upland (Ariana Grande), the future Glinda the Good, was an unlikely choice as Elphaba’s only friend in school. But the bond they share takes them all the way to the Emerald City of Oz. What they find there will change everything, and force Elphaba and Galinda to decide if they’ll face the unknown together or shatter their friendship.

Oppenheimer (2023)
IsOppenheimerthe greatest movie Christopher Nolan has ever directed? It’s pretty hard to argue against it when this is the film that Nolan finally won Oscars for Best Director and Best Picture. The narrative jumps back and forth through time, including the younger days of J. Robert Oppenheimer (Cillian Murphy) in college, as well as his later years when his past is used against him during a security clearance hearing.
However, the primary narrative follows Oppenheimer during and before World War II as he scrambles to put together the Manhattan Project with the nation’s brightest minds and build the first atomic bomb before the Nazis. Oppenheimer also earns the ire of General Leslie Groves (Robert Downey Jr.), who goes out of his way to destroy Oppenheimer’s reputation. Even minor roles in this movie are filled with familiar faces, but the established stars like Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, and Florence Pugh ensure that there are no throwaway characters here. This is a masterpiece on every level.

Nosferatu (2024)
When she was young, Ellen Hutter (Lily-Rose Depp) cried out for an end to her loneliness and got the attention of Count Orlok (Bill Skarsgård) for her troubles.Nosferatusticks pretty closely to the plot ofDracula, which the original film ripped off 102 years ago during the silent movie era. But this is one remake that’s become a modern classic.
Years after her first encounter with Orlock, Ellen is married to Thomas Hutter (Nicholas Hoult), a real estate agent who has been summoned to Orlock’s castle in Transylvania. The Wild Robot (2024)

Roz is initially greeted with hostility by the animals who live in the forest, which makes her question her purpose.

The Northman (2022)
If the plot ofThe Northmanseems familiar, it’s because the original legend of Amleth was one of the inspirations for William Shakespeare’sHamlet.Nosferatudirector Robert Eggers made it a much bloodier affair withTrue Blood‘s Alexander Skarsgård in the lead as Amleth, a Viking warrior and former prince.
When Amleth was young, his uncle, Fjölnir (Claes Bang), murdered Amleth’s father, King Aurvandill War-Raven (Ethan Hawke), and ran off with Amleth’s mother, Queen Gudrún (Nicole Kidman). As an adult, Amleth is set upon his path of revenge when he meets a sorceress, Olga (Anya Taylor-Joy), with whom he forms a relationship.
