Summary
After Year 2, the various festivals that happen inStardew Valleycan feel a bit tedious to attend. Certain ones, like the Night Market and the Stardew Valley Fair, offer a variety of activities to at least give the player something to do other than speaking with every NPC gathered in attendance. But others, like theFlower Dance, feel repetitive— especially once a player has a spouse, as the event is really only good for bettering relationships with the locals.
Unfortunately for Reddit userPassionFire_, they found out the hard way whyit’s important to go to all of the festivals, even when it seems pointless. In their post, OP shared their perfection tracker for their farm, boasting a whopping 99 percent completion. The only thing stopping them from reaching the elusive 100 percent is a single crafting recipe.

“The ONLY crafting recipe I need is the Tub o' Flowers from the Flower Dance,” they said in the caption of the post. The recipe isonly available to purchase from Pierre’s stand at the Flower Dance, which happens on the 24th of Spring. “I’m kicking my past self for not buying the recipe when I went to the dance the first year because I thought I’d never need it.” Fortunately, it’s not completely impossible to achieve 100% perfection. However, it will be a frustrating wait, as before PassionFire_ can have a perfect farm, they’ll need to wait for the next Spring to come around.

Players Need To Attend Most Of The Festivals To Achieve Perfection In Stardew Valley
The Flower Dance Isn’t The Only One With Exclusive Items
Each festival and event has a selection of exclusive items to purchase, many of them decorative. Unfortunately, some of the decorative items are also necessary for those looking to achieve perfection on their farm. Six of the nine rarecrows can be purchased at different festivals, and a player willneed the original eight to unlock the secret recipe for the ninth one.The Deluxe Rarecrow recipe will arrive in the mail after collecting the previous eight and can be crafted using 50 wood, 1 iridium ore, and 40 fiber.
The Tub O' Flowers also isn’t the only crafting recipe that’s exclusively obtained at a festival. TheJack O' Lantern recipe can only be bought from Pierre’sat the Spirit’s Eve festival. Players can buy the Jack O’Lanterns individually for less instead of crafting them, thoughthe crafting recipe is needed for perfection.

Lastly, players will need toattend the Stardew Valley Fair in the fallto get every Stardrop.Though the rest of them can be obtained at any time, so long as the prerequisites are met, this one can only be bought for 2,000 stars at the fair. Players can buy the stars individually (for 50g a piece), or play the various games to earn the stars organically.
