Spider-Man official Instagram drops big clue for Brand New Day suit reveal
Spider-Man: Brand New Daystarts filming in the UK today, and in the spirit of No Way Home’s ending, the movie’s official Instagram channel is starting with a clean slate.
The last film closed with Tom Holland’s Peter Parker alone, probably broke, and swinging through New York City as a friendly neighborhood web-slinger. Nobody remembers who he is, and for the first time in nearly 10 years, its follow-up is set to be a street-level story.
To be clear, there’s very little thatMarvelhas confirmed about Brand New Day. We know it’ll feature Jon Bernthal’s The Punisher, and according to Kevin Feige, director Destin Daniel Cretton has “eight or nine comic covers up on his wall in his art department that he is bringing to life in this movie.”
The big question is, what will his suit look like? Will it be the same red-and-blue suit from No Way Home’s ending, or will it be something else?
Spider-Man Instagram wiped as Brand New Day starts filming
With Brand New Day kicking off production in Glasgow, Scotland, today, fans are anticipating a first look at Holland in costume – and confirmation of what suit he’ll be wearing in the movie.
The film’s official Instagram account (@spidermanmovie) has also deleted all of its posts and changed its profile picture to the Brand New Day logo, suggesting a post commemorating the start of the shoot is imminent.

It’d be a smart move to get ahead of the leaks, with countless photos and videos set to emerge on social media from around the sets.

“Big reveal like suit please,” one fan wrote. “Suit reveal please,” another posted. “They def gearing up for a post of the suit,” a third speculated.
That’s not all. According toinsider Daniel Richtman, “a big action scene with Punisher and Spider-Man fighting over a DODC transport convoy” is set to be filmed over the coming days.
It’s still unclear if Punisher will be friend or foe to Spidey for the whole movie, but there are rumors that they’ll team up against the Hulk, whose full rage may be unleashed by Mister Negative.
Bernthal is believed to be still shooting hisPunisher Special Presentationin New York, so Richtman says they’ll use a body double until he’s available. As for a reveal of the suit, the insider also says it “depends on whether someone can get a photo while they’re filming.”
