In an interview withTV Insider, “Rogue” co-writer Herron addressed whether a reunion could be in the cards. While the script’s “Find me” wasn’t intended to be a hint, the line making it into the final episode left the writer hopeful. She also stated that she would be flattered ifshowrunner Russell T Davies chose to bring back Rogue in the future. Check out Herron’s full response below:

I think me and Briony are just cheeky. We just put in the script, “Find me,” and the Doctor has his ring and we were like, maybe they’ll take it out, but Russell let us keep it in there. So, no. Look, we were excited and we love Rogue, obviously, the character. So if Russell decides to bring Rogue back, that would be extremely flattering.

However, Davies previously revealed that he had clear long-term goals for the show’s future beyond the current two-season agreement between the BBC and Disney+, so welcoming back one of season 14’s biggest guest stars may not be difficult.

Despite the characters just meeting, Rogue immediately had a good grasp on the Doctor and who he is, not only sparing him the guilt of losing Ruby (Millie Gibson) but of giving in to his worse impulses. Rogue stated he doesn’t deal with pretending, so it’s likelytheDoctor Whoseason 14 characterhas complete faith that he and the Time Lord will meet again.
Though brief, Rogue and the Doctor’s whirlwind Regency romance is a clear highlight ofDoctor Whoseason 14. Gatwa and Groff’s chemistry provided a sweet dynamic that left both characters vulnerable to one another whilebreaking ground for the series' LGBTQ representation.While Herron and Redman may not have intended for it to receive a follow-up, their comment on the bounty hunter’s final line may show Davies' is aware of how important such a story could be. Though Rogue may be gone, it is clear the Doctor will remember his newest love.
