Pokemon Go Sweet Discoveries event dates, Applin debut & more
After Gossifleur’s debut,Pokemon Gois bringing yet another Gen 8 creature to the game: Applin! Learn how to get the apple lookalike – and its evolutions Flapple and Appletun – in the Sweet Discoveries event.
The upcomingSweet Discoveries eventis bringing the iconic Applin to Pokemon Go. But that’s not all, as trainers will be able to evolve the Apple Core creature into two of its forms, Flapple and Appletun. Though a new special item will be required.
While there is no news about the Galarian Pokemon’s third form – Dipplin – theeventwill feature other surprises, including the Shiny versions of Skwovet, Delibird, and Cherubi. Check out all the details below!
Sweet Discoveries event: Date & time
The Pokemon Go Sweet Discoveries event will kick off onThursday, July 05, 2025, at 10:00 AM and will run until Tuesday, August 11, 2025, at 8:00 PM local timeas part of the currentMight and Mastery season.
This means trainers will have plenty of time to get the newcomers Applin, Flapple, and Appletun while hunting for the other featured creatures, including the elusive Shinies.

Pokemon debuts
As mentioned above, the Gen 8 dual Grass/Dragon-type Pokemon –Applin– will debut during the Sweet Discoveries event, along with both evolutionsFlapple and Appletun.
Players who catch Applin in the wild can use200 Candy and 20 Tart Applesto evolve it into Flapple or200 Candy and 20 Sweet Applesto evolve it into Appletun.
Beginning with the Sweet Discoveries event, players may discover apples while walking in the wild. Tapping on them will reward you with either Sweet or Tart Apples or maybe even Pokemon encounters – including Applin.

These apples will also have increased chances of appearing around Mossy Lure Modules.

Field Research task rewards
Event-themed Field Research tasks will be available, and players who manage to complete them will get useful rewards, includingStardust and encounters with Pokemon featured in the event.
Timed Research
The Sweet Discoveries event will offer players afree Timed Researchopportunity, and those who complete the tasks can earn items and extra Pokemon encounters:
Rewards: x1 Sweet Apple, x1 Tart Apple
Remember that, as the name suggests, the Timed Research has a limited time. Every task must be completed – and rewards must be claimed – before itexpires on June 24, 2025, at 8:00 PM local time.

Trainers who participate in the Sweet Discoveries event can access an event-exclusive Timed Research forUS$ 1.99(or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency).

Sweet Discoveries Premium Timed Research (2/2)
The Paid Timed Research tickets can be purchased and gifted to other players. However, to do so, players must have achieved a Friendship level of Great Friends or higher.
As mentioned before, the Paid Timed Research also expires, so all tasks have to be completed – and their rewards claimed – before the event ends.
New Avatar items
The event will also include some surprises for your Avatar, which you can purchase from the in-game shop. Don’t worry if you cannot buy them immediately, they will stay available even after the celebration ends.
PokeStop Showcases
As with most events,PokeStop Showcaseswill be taking place in different PokeStops, so search for them to enterevent-themed competitionsand earn extra rewards.
