Pokemon Go’s August 2025 Community Day will feature Galar’s Tiny Bird, Rookidee! So, here’s all you need to know about the day, including the time, exclusive moves, Shiny availability, and more.
The Community Day is a monthly event in Pokemon Go that brings back creatures from previous events, with boosted wild spawns, increased Shiny odds, exclusive moves when evolved, and useful bonuses.
It is one of the most popular events inthe Pokemon Go Calendar, alongsideSpotlight Hours. But, despite it occurring on the weekend so that most players can get involved, it only lasts for three hours. So, here’s all you need to know to make the most of it!
When is the next Community Day in Pokemon Go?
As a monthly celebration, the next Pokemon Go Community Day event will take place in August 2025, more specifically onSaturday, July 23, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM local time.
Rookidee, from Gen 8’s Galar region, will headline the event, giving trainers increased chances of coming across one in the wild during the announced timeframes.
Known as the Tiny Bird Pokemon, this Flying-type starter and its evolutions (mainly its final stage) are must-haves for your collection!
So, those who take advantage of the situation will be able to evolve Rookidee into Corvisquire using25 Candy, and with100 extra Candy, they can turn Corvisquire into the dual Flying/Steel Corviknight.
Shiny odds
Rookidee recently debuted its Shiny variant, so during the Community Day, and – as with every other headliner –it will have boosted Shiny oddsfor the duration of this event.
This means players can not only get a Shiny Rookidee, but the complete family, as if evolved, it will turn into Shiny Corvisquire and subsequently Shiny Corviknight.
Community Day exclusive moves
If a player evolves Rookidee into Corvisquire and then Corviknight during the event – or until August 25, 2025, at 10:00 PM local time – they’ll get aCorviknight that knows the Charged Move Air Cutter.

Additionally, starting with the event and continuing afterwards, Quaquaval will beable to learn the Charged Move, Aqua Step.

Players can purchase and gift tickets from the in-game shop to any of their friends. However, first, they must have achieved a Friendship level of Great Friends or higher in order to do so.
Special Background Timed Research
An extra Timed Research will be available for free and will last for a week following the event!
To acquire it, players must log into the game during the August 2025 Community Day. After completion, they’ll be rewarded withone encounter with Rookidee with the Delightful Days season Special Background.
Moreover, those who complete this mission will haveincreased chances of finding a Shiny Rookideeduring their encounters.

Remember that the Timed Research expires, so it must be completed – and the rewards must be claimed – before Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 10:00 PM local time.
Field Research
An August 2025 Community Day-themed Field Research will be available, too. Players who complete the tasks canearn additional Rookidee encounters, Stardust, Great Balls, and more.
Those who go out to explore with their community may even find Field Research that leads to encounters with Rookidee that have a Delightful Days-themed Special Background – if lucky.
PokeStop Showcases
As with most events,PokeStop Showcaseswill be taking place in different PokeStops, so search for them to enterevent-themed competitionsand earn extra rewards.
