Pokemon Go players exhausted by events that “no one wants”

Pokemon Goevents should, in theory, be fun ways to pick up handy items and catch rare Pokemon. They’re not always hits, though, as some Pokemon Go players shared online recently.

It’s usually great to see a new Pokemon Go event being added to the community calendar. Events in the game can help youcomplete medals, catch rare Pokemon, and restock your item bag with handy products.

They’re not always fantastic, though. Pokemon Go players took to ther/pokemongoSubreddit recently to meme about the ongoing Horizons event, pointing out some key issues that the community has with events in the process.

Pokemon Go players rip into “garbage” game events

The meme poked fun at RNG-locking popular Pokemon, Paldean Starters, and hat-wearing Pikachus who can’t be evolved. These elements have been seen before in Pokemon Go events, so it’s clear that the person behind the post was feeling frustrated by this latest iteration.

Other Pokemon Go players in the replies evidently felt a similar pain, with one person replying, “forced grinds being the highlight of an event is L behavior” and another noting, “Everything else isfinebut I’m getting tired of the Paldea starters in every event that introduces a Paldean mon”.

Some players pointed out how frustrating it can be to Shiny hunt in Pokemon Go with events like this, with one saying, “the concept of keeping shinies locked to gradually release over time” simply did not make sense to them.

Pokemon Go’s Small Yet Strong event is missing a valuable opportunity to make players happy

One frustrated Pokemon Go fan declared, “Introducing pokemon without shiny versions should be a fireable offense.”

A handful of players took issue with the post, with some suggesting that having the Paldean Starters as a common spawn in the event was great for players who hadn’t found them yet. Others pointed out that the rare Pikachu comes with a brand-new ability, too.

Events are always guaranteed to be at least a little divisive in the Pokemon Go community. This ongoing event does have some interesting features, though, so if you’re keen on finding ‘mons likeCharcadetthen make sure to log on before the 11th of March.
