Summary
ThePeacemakerseason 2 cast features new and returning actors as the series prepares to join theDCU.Peacemakerseason 1 debuted in January 2022, less than a year before theDCU was announcedand threw the canonicity of various DCEU characters and stories into question. John Cena’s Peacemaker was among thoseDCEU stars that survived the reboot, meaning his new series will continue his story with certain story elements carried straight over from the first season.
He will be joined by most of the originalcast fromPeacemakerseason 1, while a number of newbies are already announced to be joining. Season 2 will act as a soft reboot of season 1 similarly to howThe Suicide Squadwas a soft reboot ofSuicide Squad, picking up where it left off with the titular hero at loggerheads with Amanda Waller and her unscrupulous methods. Story details are yet to emerge, but James Gunn, who is directing three of the episodes, has already confirmed certain cast members.
