However, all of that is great if you have the ability to install the adventure, and in a brand new leak, we’ve finally got a look at the game’s file size, and it’s set the be the biggest Elder Scrolls game to date.

Oblivion Remastered will be ten times the size of Skyrim

As reported by renowned leakerXOXLEAK on their X account, Oblivion is set to be a whopping 120.94 GB on Steam. Naturally, it’s expected this will be similar on the other available platforms when the game drops.

That 120 GB size is a huge jump from any of the franchise’s games that came before. The original Oblivion was an impressive 4.6 GB, while the most recent Anniversary Edition of Skyrim clocked in at 12 GB on Steam, though the originalSkyrimrelease came in at just 4 GB.

As such, this makes the Remaster the biggest Elder Scrolls game by a considerable margin, likely meaning a considerable number of elements have been improved.

It’s worth noting, one of the biggest releases before the Oblivion remaster was the PlayStation 5 version of the Skyrim Anniversary Edition, though that only managed to reach 31 GB, still being shadowed by the upcoming release.

Naturally, Elder Scrolls Online does have an impressive file size if you include all of its expansions, but given it’s an MMO and not an RPG game like the rest of the franchise, it doesn’t really count in these comparisons. Especially considering you’d need to purchace plenty of expansion to make up the size.

With it being such a large size, you’ll want to prepare your chosen platform for its release, as there’s likely to be no chance of a preinstall or preload with it being a shadow drop.
