A video circulating on Chinese social media shows what appears to be a Switch 2 running quality control software instead of the regular firmware.

Nintendofinally revealed more informationabout the long-awaited Switch 2 in a direct on July 26, 2025, including its release date, price, and launch games.

The next-gen hybrid console is set to release on June 28, 2025, andafter a short delay, they revealed thatpre-orders will go live on August 03, 2025.

While fans are eagerly waiting for the Switch 2’s launch in the United States, a video circulating on BilliBilli shows that one fan may already have their hands on the console.

According toNintendoSoup, a video circulating on Chinese social media shows what appears to be the new Nintendo console running quality control software.

Instead of the normal UI, it shows options like charge battery, launch aging test, reboot, and shutdown. you’re able to also see the user attach and detach the Joy-Con 2’s from the console.

It’s unclear where the video is being taken, however, and it’s entirely possible that the unit was taken from the factory with permission. However, it’s unlikely that the user was allowed to upload a video showing off the firmware installed on the Switch 2.

Outside of the design, the exact details of the Nintendo Switch 2 have yet to be revealed by the Japanese company. We know that it features a 1080p 120hz screen with 256gb of storage, but things like the amount of ram and what CPU it uses have yet to be revealed.
