MultiVersushas several major currencies in the game, which all work to unlock different cosmetics, Variants, or playable characters. Fighter Currency is potentially the most important, as it allows the player to unlock new Fighters to play as. Thankfully, there are several ways to earn Fighter Currency without the need to pay real-life dollars.
MultiVersusis a platform fighting game with over 20 playable characters from various Warner Brothers franchises, fromGame of ThronestoAdventure Time. Each character in the game has their own unique moveset and preferred playstyle. Although many players only select one or a small handful of characters to play and perfect, it may be best to unlock the entire roster to have as many options as possible. How To Get Fighter Currency In MultiVersus
There are three ways to get Fighter Currency inMultiVersus: by playing Rifts, progressing your Fighter Mastery, and completing Daily Challenges. Rifts are the best way to gain Fighter Currency very quickly.Rifts act as the single-player mode inMultiVersus, pitting you against NPCs and taking you throughMultiVersus’sstory mode.Each encounter rewards you with Fighter Points that scale with your chosen difficulty level. Currently, inMultiVersus’Season 1, there are two available Rifts that you can play through, with more on the way.
You can play through Rifts on multiple difficulty levels. After beating a Rift on Experienced, it’s worth it to play again on Crushing, Insanity, and Looney to farm even more Fighter Currency.

Alongside PvE Rifts,you can unlock Fighter Points by leveling up your Fighter of choice. Each Fighter has 15 total Mastery levels. Each Mastery level rewards players with a specific currency, although theoverwhelming majority of rewards give players Fighter Currency or Perk Currency.
Finally,you may also pursue daily challenges that reward Fighter Currency. Challenges rotate out daily and weekly, so it’s best to check the Missions tab regularly to see what challenges are active.

How To Get Gleamium In MultiVersus
Aside from Fighter Currency, you can also use Gleamium to purchase Fighters. Gleamium is the premium currency inMultiVersus,which costs real money to acquire. To purchase Gleamium, you must navigate to the Store tab and find the Gleamium page, which should be just above the Prestige Store, where you can spendPrestige Points inMultiVersus. Gleamium can be bought in various amounts, ranging from 450 for $4.99 to 6,000 for $49.99.
Gleamium is undoubtedlythe fastest way to unlock Fighters inMultiVersus, given that it is the paid micro currency in the game. Whereas characters typically cost 3,000 Fighter Currency to unlock,every character only costs 1,000 Gleamium. If you do not want to purchase Gleamium, it’s best to watch the Prestige Store. Character Variants, such as The Batman Who Laughs, will occasionally pass through the Prestige Store, although you will need upwards of 50,000 Prestige Points to unlock most items.

How To Unlock Characters In MultiVersus
After you have farmed enough Fighter Currency, you’re able to purchase your desired character inMultiVersus. You can purchase Fighters through two methods. First, you can navigate directly to the Store tab and find the Fighter Store. Here, you can see all available Fighters and their difficulty level. Any characters you have already purchased will be grayed out.Aside from the Joker inMultiVersus, almost all fighters cost 1,000 Fighter Currency.
Some characters, such asAgent Smith inMultiVersus,are only unlockable by completing Rift eventsand are not available for purchase in the store. Others, like Banana Guard, can be easily unlocked by completing simple Daily Challenges.

An alternative way to purchase characters is to go to the Fighters tab and select the locked character of choice. Underneath the Variants, Emotes, and Perks selection should be the Purchase Fighter option. This will take you to the checkout menu for this specific character. Once you specify the currency you intend to purchase the Fighter with, whether it be Fighter Currency or Gleamium, you’re able to unlock and use your new character freely.
Which Characters Are Best To Unlock First In MultiVersus?
The best character to unlock with Fighter Currency first entirely depends on your playstyle preference or which characters and universes you like the most. Generally, testing out every archetype before settling on a main is best. There are four archetypes thatall characters inMultiVersusfall into Mage, Fighter, Assassin, and Bruiser. Tom & Jerry, Shaggy, Finn the Human, and Superman represent the four character classes.
No matter your choice, it’s best to try out any new characters in the tutorial lab found in the Rifts menu. Here, you can practice specific moves and how to set up certain combo attacks freely.

Each character inMultiVersusis not divided by archetype but also by the general difficulty of the character. The Fighter’s movesets and combos largely determine this. While Shaggy is relatively easy to learn with straightforward combos, Batman is comparably harder, given his mixture of melee, projectiles, and other utility options. Characters are not locked based on difficulty, and you’re able to unlock Medium or Hard Fighters at any point after the tutorial inMultiVersus.
