Summary

Mike Ross' return to the small screen may happen inSuits' best replacement show’s revival first before Patrick J. Adams can appear inSuits LAfollowing a new exciting update. Around a year afterSuits' resurgence on Netflix, the franchise created by Aaron Korsh has some exciting updates ahead. Firstly,Suits' final season is set to land on the streaming platform on July 1. Secondly, anew spinoff series is coming viaSuits LA, which will introduce Stephen Amell’s Ted Black and Dylan McDermott’s Stuart Lane running a law firm handling Hollywood cases on the West Coast.

The thought of Korsh’s franchise expanding is exciting, but there are some drawbacks to launching a new spinoff instead of a straight-up revival, primarily because it doesn’t guarantee the return of the original characters. While timing and other factors played intoSuits' streaming dominance, arguably one of the biggest reasons for its newfound success lies in its incredible ensemble. Understandably, there’s interest in Gabriel Macht’s Harvey Specter and his cohorts. For Mike, however, his first TV comeback may happen inSuits' best alternative show —White Collar, which is getting a more straightforward revival compared to its fellow USA Network hit.

Both Suits & White Collar Will Have Their Respective Storytelling Continuation

Suits and White Collar’s premises couldn’t be any more different, they share some of the best storytelling aspects, including having a great ensemble that comes down to an unusual partnership between their respective leads.

Suits' Netflix Replacement’s Revival Faces Release Uncertainty Just 2 Weeks After Being Announced

Just two weeks after it was announced, Netflix’s best Suits replacement show, White Collar’s revival is facing a major scheduling issue.

Why The Suits & White Collar Crossover Can’t Happen In Suits LA

New York Was Integral To Both Suits And White Collar

Created by Jeff Eastin,White Collarfirst premiered on USA Network in 2009. It followed the orthodox team-up between Matt Bomer’s con artist, Neal Caffrey, and Tim DeKay’s FBI agent Peter Burke. 2 years later,Suitsdebuted, introducing New York’s best closers at Pearson, Hardman. Aside from their procedural formats, both shows were also set in New York. So if anySuitsandWhite Collarcrossover is to happen, it should come to fruition in the Big Apple. Thisrules outSuits LAas a potential avenuefor this proposed special project, considering its California backdrop.

Instead, the crossover that Adams is supposedly working on will likely happen in theWhite Collarrevival. Unlike the end ofSuits, which sawHarvey and Donna Paulsen following Mike and Rachel Zane in Seattle, Burke remained in New York in theWhite Collarfinale. Meanwhile, Caffrey escaped to Paris. Regardless, the Big Apple was such a big part of its storytelling that it’s difficult to imagine the revival being set somewhere else. Considering Mike’s history with the city, it shouldn’t be surprising to see him back, resulting in a possible entanglement with Caffrey and Burke.
