Marvel Rivals devs reveal ‘Twerking Venom’ reward but don’t get your hopes up

Marvel Rivals devs have just revealed a new reward players can unlock and it appears to be a nod to a popular community joke, but there’s a chance it’s just an April Fool’s gag.

One of the best things about Marvel Rivals that players absolutely love is the amount offree cosmeticsdevs are always throwing into the mix. While it’s true that most skins are locked behind the shop, devs have always been generous when it comes to giving free rewards fromTwitch Drops,ranked rewards, and events.

Currently, players can take part inGalacta’s Cosmic Adventure event in-game, where the rewards are displayed along a board-game-esque path, requiring you to exchange tokens with dice rolls to unlock them in their respective spot.

Right now, there’s one reward that is still hidden in the game, as it is represented by a question mark icon. That said, NetEase has seemingly just revealed what they mysterious reward may be in ablog post– and it’s something you definitely wouldn’t expect.

Marvel Rivals teases limited-time Venom “twerk” emote as new reward

Devs have announced a special “Easter egg” gift that players will be able to claim from August 25, 2025, until July 12, 2025. Included with the post is an image of theGalacta’s Cosmic Adventure eventpage with the mystery reward on the left side finally being revealed as what appears to be an emote.

The icon may just look like a normal silhouette at first glance, but zoom in, and you’ll notice it’s actually Venom with his cheeks somewhat looking… suspiciously prominent, something that has been a running joke in the community.

A lot of players have pointed out they’re convinced this is a “twerking emote” for the Vanguard following the reveal.

Do keep in mind, however, that considering it drops the same day as April Fool’s, there’s a possibility this is just an elaborate prank from the devs. Though, that hasn’t stopped many from taking their excitement tosocial media, as they look forward to it and hope it’s real.
