Warning: Contains spoilers for chapter #262 of Jujutsu Kaisen.
Summary
The revelation thatYuta has taken over Gojo’s bodyhas been met with mixed reactions from fans ofJujutsu Kaisen. However, Gojo’s controversial return may have finallyproved what truly made him the strongest, and it isn’t his Cursed Technique or even the Six Eyes. Yuta’s fight against Sukuna has finally taken off in the latest chapter, and safe to say, his performance highlights the exact difference between him and Gojo.
Chapter #262 ofJujutsu Kaisencontinues with the Domain Clash between Yuta and Sukuna as Yuta shrinks Unlimited Void in hopes of strengthening the outer shell of the barrier against Malevolent Shrine. In response, Sukuna quickly adjusts his domain’s effective range to that of Unlimited Void, getting rid of the 99-second time limit on his domain.

Yuta goes on to get completely overpowered by Sukuna, who despite being caught off guard by seeing Gojo again, was quick to recover from the shock and get the better of Yuta with smart, calculated moves. This in turn proves thatGojo was the strongest not solely because of his Cursed Technique but rather his intelligenceand his ability to think quickly on his feet, just like Sukuna.
Jujutsu Kaisen’s Gojo Twist Has a Deeper and More Heartbreaking Meaning
Jujutsu Kaisen has just revealed a shockingly heartbreaking Gojo twist that proves how the strongest sorcerer’s story is still connected with Geto’s.
Sukuna’s Ability to Get The Better of Yuta Proves What Sets Gojo Apart
Jujutsu KaisenCreated by Gege Akutami, Chapter #262 “Inhuman Makyo Shinjuku Showdown, Part 34”
The latest chapter, though short, sees Sukuna quickly adapt to Yuta’s arrival on the battlefield in Gojo’s body. Sukuna wastes no time adjusting his domain and even uses Yuta’s Blue against him to increase the speed of his movements. Sukuna also quickly deduces that Yuta and the other sorcerers do not have any knowledge of what transpired inside the domains during his battle against Gojo simply from seeing Yuta’s reaction to him using Domain Amplification to bypass Infinity.
Gojo’s battle against Sukunawas as much a battle of wits as it was a clash between Cursed Techniques and the reason Sukuna was able to enjoy himself was because Gojo was able to keep up with his every move. The several domain clashes between Gojo and Sukuna are proof of just how well the two were able to constantly think on their feet even with a fraction of a second to react.

As much asGojo’s Cursed Techniqueand the Six Eyes have been hailed and exalted, at the end of the day it was Gojo’s intelligence and his in-depth understanding of his Cursed Technique as well as his core of Cursed Energy that truly made him the strongest modern-day sorcerer and Yuta may be lacking in some of these aspects at the moment.
Yuta’s Poor Performance Against Sukuna is Justifiable
Yuta May Still Be Getting Used to Gojo’s Body and Technique
There are many plausible explanations for why Yuta may not be able to fight at full capacity at the moment. Chapter #262 confirms thatYuta does not in fact have access to all of Gojo’s memoriesjust yet as he was unaware Sukuna could use Domain Amplification while casting his Domain, even though Sukuna had already done so against Gojo.
Yuta’s inability to keep up with Sukunadoes not mean he isn’t intelligent or capable of adapting. His battle against Uro and Ryu is more than enough proof that Yuta is rightfully considered a prodigy and a special-grade sorcerer. It has been established time and time again thatYuta has the most potential to surpass Gojo, and ideally, Yuta should have been able to achieve that potential in Gojo’s body. However, there may just be too many factors working against him at present.

It is possible thatYuta may still be disorientated from the switchor that he may still be getting used to Gojo’s Cursed Technique and his body. Yuta had to immediately rush to Todo and Yuji’s side right after healing himself and is even seen opening his eyes as Gojo on the battlefield itself. More importantly, while Yuta is incredibly intelligent when it comes to getting creative with his own Cursed Technique, swapping with Gojo a few times before the big battle may not have been enough for Yuta to fully learn the in’s and out’s of Gojo’s Cursed Technique.
Nobody knows Limitless quite like Gojo and even then, Gojo underwent a re-awakening after nearly losing to Toji. Yuta’s use of Reverse Cursed Technique suggests he is well aware of his core of Cursed Energy, though it is unclear whether he may need to rediscover it in Gojo’s body to make the most of Limitless. Yuta may very well end up undergoing a transformation like Maki did against Miyo before he can emerge as Gojo’s true and final successor inJujutsu Kaisen.
