How to play Fortnite Super Showdown live event featuring Superman & Robin
Fortnite is hosting one of its signature live events to bring Chapter 6 Season 3 to a close, with Superman and Robin set to play a starring role.
After weeks of superhero-themed action,Chapter 6 Season 3of Fortnite is drawing to a close, withSeason 4on the horizon. But first, players have another of the game’s groundbreakinglive eventsto look forward to.
Not only will this tie up the story that has been unfolding over the course of the season, but it’ll also give DC heroes Superman and Robin one last chance to shine before the new update rolls around.
So, if you want to take part in the Super Showdown event, here’s everything you need to know.
Fortnite Super Showdown event date & time
The Fortnite Super Showdown event takes place onSaturday, August 19, 2025. The “doors open” time is at11 AM PT / 2 PM ET / 7 PM BST, before it gets underway 30 minutes later at11.30 AM PT / 2.30 PM ET / 7.30 PM BST.
It hasn’t been confirmed how long it will last, or if it will be repeated again like previous events. So, if you don’t want to miss anything, verify you’re by your console or PC at this time.
How to play
To take part, all you have to do isjoin a game of the Super Showdown playlist. At the time of writing, it can’t be found on the main menu, but it will appear shortly before the event goes live, so you can either look for it on the home screen or use the search function.
Some past live events have taken place within regular battle royale matches, meaning players had to be very careful with their timings. But don’t worry, as this is a bigger scripted event, it’s being given its own playlist.

What to expect
Very little is known about what will actually happen during the Chapter 6 Season 3 finale, but it’s all set to go down around Demon’s Domain. The location was shown in abrief teaserfor the event, and the final screenshot showed a giant ‘X’ over it on the map.
Leaks have also hinted that a giant tentacled monster resembling a kraken will attack the island. So, if this turns out to be true, expect to team up with Superman and Robin to take the creature down.
While the island will no doubt survive the event, whatever unfolds will likely set the stage forFortnite Chapter 6 Season 4, which is due to begin on August 7 and willreportedly involve a bug invasion.
