To be considered a main member of the Brat Pack, a star generally had to meet two criteria. The first criterion was to either be featured in theSt. Elmo’s FireorThe Breakfast Clubcast. The pair of seminal movies were both released in 1985, directed by Joel Schumacher and John Hughes respectively.
