Frasierseason 2 is bringing back more familiar faces. The Paramount+, from showrunners Chris Harris and Joe Cristalli, follows Dr. Frasier Grammer (executive producer Kelsey Grammer) shortly after the death of his father and the end of a long-term relationship. He returns to Boston to reconnect with his son Freddy (Jack Cutmore-Scott), now a firefighter. Thecast of the revivedFrasiermostly features new actors, including Toks Olagundoye, Jess Salgueiro, Anders Keith, and Nicholas Lyndhurst, with Peri Gilpin as Roz and Bebe Neuwirth as Lilith in guest roles.
According toThe Hollywood Reporter,Dan Butler and Edward Hibbert will reprise their respective roles asBob “Bulldog” Briscoe and Gil ChestertoninFrasierseason 2, the former co-workers of Frasier Crane (Kelsey Grammer) at KACL, the Seattle radio station, in the originalFrasierseries. Although there’s no word yet on how they’ll be folded into the story, Grammer reacted to their returns in a statement:

What To Remember About Bulldog & Chesterton
They Memorably Recurred In The Original.
A bit of a pompous character in the originalFrasierand known for his trademark bowtie, Chesterton gets along well with Bulldog.
Bulldog is a heavily recurring character in the originalFrasier,appearing in over 50 episodes. He hosts the Gonzo Sports Show, KACL’s highest-rated show among most demographics, and is known to be a bit of a womanizer. Bulldog memorablyhas a fling with Roz, but it’s shown that he has genuine feelings for her which she does not reciprocate. Though he does not appear in theFrasierfinale, Bulldog had a memorable presence in the original sitcom, and Butler was credited as a main cast member in several episodes.
As for Chesterton, the character was a food critic and host of the show Restaurant Beat on KACL. A bit of a pompous character in the originalFrasierand known for his trademark bowtie, Chesterton gets along well with Bulldog. Chestertonappears in 29 episodes overall and is present in the finaleas he’s seen with a group that says goodbye to Dr. Crane. They’ll now shake things up after theFrasierrevival season 1 ending.
