Titled “Rogue,” the episode sees the Doctor and Ruby visit a Regency-era ball in 1913 in hopes of their own period-drama-esque adventure. However, shapeshifting aliens and Jonathan Groff’s gunman Rogue also lurk amidst the celebrations, bringing threats of monsters, scandals, and even romance.

After “Dot and Bubble” led toone ofDoctor Who’s darkest endings, the Time Lord’s upcoming historical adventure, “Rogue”, is shaping up to be a lighter story in tone.
