Revan And Vader Share Similar Experiences
The Two Sith Lived Through Times Of War
On the surface, Darth Vader and Darth Revan have quite similar lived experiences. Vader lived through the Clone Wars, while Revan lived through the Mandalorian Wars. Each of them fought in their respective wars, with Anakin Skywalker as a general leading a squadron of clones into battle. They both would come to be the reasons their respective wars ended, though when the command forOrder 66was given during the Clone Wars, Chancellor Palpatine was the one to give it. However, the reality of their individual situations is not as simple as that.
The Mandalorian Wars as described inKnights of the Old Republicwere especially cruel, with countless dead throughout the galaxy. This was true of both the Mandalorians, who killed and enslaved people throughout the galaxy, and the Jedi, who fought back without mercy. The end of the war, however, was especially cruel, with one specific act that was able to shatter an entire society.

Not only did this single act kill countless people, but it fractured the Mandalorian unity that led to them being such a powerful force.
Revan, who was still a Jedi at the time, conducted the wholesale slaughter of the Mandalorians on the planet Malachor V and even killed their leader, Mandalore the Ultimate. He killed the people of Malachor V, a planet consisting wholly of Mandalorians, by activating a superweapon known as a Mass Shadow Generator. Not only did this single act kill countless people, but it fractured the Mandalorian unity that led to them being such a powerful force. This shows just how brutal Revan was willing to be, even as a Jedi.

Both Sith Are Incredibly Powerful Force Users
Though Revan Was Made To Master The Force Multiple Times
When it comes to their powers in the Force, Darth Vader is no slouch. Once considered to bethe Chosen Onethat would bring balance to the Force, he was known for his raw strength in the Force. Despite this fact, he was ruled by his emotions, unable to focus his strength on any one place. He was capable of incredible feats, both as a pilot and as a combatant, one time even flooding an entire city and crushing Jedi Kirak Infil’a using nothing more than the Force.
Revan was capable of similar feats, but with even more focus and precision. After losing his memory, he was trained on Dantooine to become a Jedi once again, eventually mastering both the dark and light sides of the Force. He eventually grew to master feats that Darth Vader could never match, including the ability to both heal using the Force and drain the life from others. Though these abilities can be attributed to the fact thatKnights of the Old Republicis a video game, it still affords the character certain powers that most would find unobtainable.
Perhaps the most impressive part of Revan’s arsenal was his strategic mind, something that inevitably won him the Mandalorian Wars. Not only did he use the Mandalorians' culture against them by targeting Malachor V, but he also waged war against the Jedi themselves. This started the Jedi Civil War, one that was only lost because of his eventual betrayal by his friend and Sith apprentice, Darth Malak. It is this betrayal that would lead to Revan’s capture by the Jedi andBastila Shan, eventually resulting in the loss of his memories.
All Darth Vader’s Force Powers In Canon Explained
Since his introduction in 1977, Darth Vader has exhibited many Force powers in Star Wars canon. Here is every one of them rounded up and explained.
Revan And Vader Have Incredibly Different Flaws
Each Character’s Flaws Make Them Unique, But Can Affect How They Fight
Every character has their flaws and disadvantages, and Darth Vader is no different. Aside from his single-minded devotion to his anger, his cybernetics can be seen as something that helps him, but at the end of the day, it is also a hindrance. Though his intimidating armor inspired fear in those around him,if Darth Vader were to be in any way separated from his suit, he would die. Aside from this, his ability to be manipulated by someone as evil and conniving as Sheev Palpatine is what started him down the path to the dark side in the first place.
On the other hand,Revan’s cruelty in dealing with the Mandalorians is what ultimately led to both his dark side turnand his re-education at the hands of the Jedi. Depending on the path the player takes through the game, Revan can either come out stronger as one of the greatest Jedi to have ever lived, or continue down the dark path to once again becoming a Sith. With so few flaws, coupled with his incredible Force powers and strategic mind, it is likely that Revan would win in a fight shouldStar Warsever pit him against Darth Vader.
