Only 34 Baldur’s Gate 3 players who experienced the story as Lae’zel decided to kill themselves after Vlaakith rejected her ascension.

Vlaakith is the Githyanki’s ruler who once promised Lae’zel an ascension if she found the Mysterious Artefact for her. However, things don’t go as planned, and once she rejects Lae’zel’s ascension, the player is given the option to end her life.

Replies to this post were shocked at the statistic. Not only due to the ending that few players knew about but also because of the minuscule number of players who have experienced this ending.

Baldur’s Gate 3 players were already familiar with some of the game’sdarkest endings, yet this one flew right under the radar. Since this has been highlighted as a fairly uncommon occurrence, it’s likely many players will attempt to hunt it down themselves.

Some replies attempted to figure out how this ending came to be, with someone saying “I would say you have to play Origin Lae’Zel, Kill Voss and Orpheus, maybe control the brain (?), and then be rejected.”
